Misty Keasler’s work has been featured in Harper’s Magazine, Texas Monthly, Dwell and Forbes and Art on Paper to name a few. The native Texan studied photography at Columbia College Chicago and received an MFA from Bard College in upstate New York. After living in Japan for a year, Misty worked on a series of photographs and a subsequent monograph, Love Hotels, The Hidden Fantasy Rooms of Japan, was published by Chronicle Books. Her work has been exhibited internationally and is included in the permanent collections of the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago, the Modern Art Museum of Ft. Worth, the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, and the Dallas Museum of Art, and the Museum of Fine Art in Houston. She loves assignment work and stories and is always ready to jump into a new project.
