End of an Era-Greyhound Racing

Derby Lane, the St. Petersburg Kennel Club, is the oldest continuously operating greyhound track in the United States with its inaugural race held on January 3rd, 1925.
In 2018, Florida’s voters approved a constitutional amendment-Amendment 13—that banned betting on greyhounds as of December 31, 2020. Essentially this vote will wipe out nearly the entire American greyhound racing industry. This story covers the last few months of racing at the Derby Lane track in Florida.
