Mattia was born on September 24, 1987 in Pordenone, Italy.
In 2008 he moved to Los Angeles, where he began studying at the Brooks Institute of California with a specialization in advertising.
In 2010 he collaborated with David LaChapelle as a study assistant and archivist. In 2011, after obtaining a Bachelor's degree with honorable mention, he returned to Italy. Since 2012 he has been a lecturer of photography at the Master Interactive Media for Interior Design of the IUAV University of Venice. In 2015 he founded, together with the graphic designer Lucia Del Zotto and the sociologist Gabriella De Domenico, the collective Fernweh, with whom he won the 99th edition of the Young Artists Collective Exhibition at the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa.
He focuses his attention on issues related to the territory of origin, the concept of home and work understood as the identifying factor of human being.
His images reveal an interest in people and their stories, the functionality of technology and the graphic elements of the ordinary.
