Roger LeMoyne has been photographing around the world since the early 1990’s, having covered important issues in over fifty countries including the Former Yugoslavia, the Middle East, Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Albania&Kosovo, Iraq and Haiti.
He is the recipient of multiple awards including the Michener-Deacon fellowship, a Canada Council grant, two Quebec Arts council grants, the Lange-Taylor Prize, the Alexia Grant, a Prix Bayeux-Calvados, the POYi World Understanding Award, National Magazine Awards, a World Press Photo and others.
His first book “Details Obscurs”, was published in 2005. He is currently at work on a book about Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and a project about mining in Latin America.
He lives in Montreal with his wife, a physician, and their two children.
