Congo, Afghanistan and the Balkans. He is the recipient of many major awards including the World Press Photo for his Kosovo work and the Dorothea Lange-Paul Taylor Prize in 2007 for a series entitled “After War.” His first book “Details Obscurs” which takes a hard look at the effects of recent conflicts on civilians, was published in 2005.
