Danny Wilcox Frazier photographed Joel Lemke for the cover of the March 2008 issue of Outdoor Life. Kurt Lemke and his sons Erick (age 25) and Joel (age 22) have pursued “shed hunting” for the last ten years during the deer hunting off season. “Sheds” are the antlers that deer lose each year in late winter or spring.
